PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
The graduate of the program Prehospital Care Technology of CES-FUCS is characterized by being an ethical and professional citizen who is dynamic and creative, with a strong integral formation that will enable him the innovation and transformation of prehospital care systems, in the fields of promotion, prevention, care and rehabilitation, emergency situations, emergencies and disasters. He will be competent in:
- Being an integral, analytical, critical and reflexive citizen.
- Being a proactive citizen in the search of solutions to the inherent problems of his profession, of his work team and of his institution, thinking in the benefit of the community.
- Carry out emergency Prevention and Attention programs in natural disasters, anthropical and technological with families, groups and communities in the private and public sector.
- Identify in patients or victims the situations which require urgent and non- urgent medical attention, and carry out basic and advanced maneuvers according to their condition.
- Give basic and advanced life support depending on the patient or victim`s condition, taking into account the national and international regulations and protocols.
- Prepare the urgent and non-urgent patients for transport, carry it out and give the required support until they reach the hospital of the level that corresponds, thus avoiding consequences.
- Serve as a coordinator in a medical emergency dispatch control center for emergency attention.
Coordinate, with other health team members and other existing groups in the community, the intervention in emergencies and disasters.
